Approach tag
Standards-aligned
Families aiming at a public-school scope. Not “meets Indiana standards.”
Use this tag to find families who want this methodology.
In a small parent-hired group
The group uses a public-school-shaped scope: math, language, science, social studies in a familiar sequence. A hired adult might work from open materials a district would recognize. Still a living room or church basement with a handful of kids — not a school, not a gradebook product.
Why a parent might want this
A parent might want the kid able to talk with cousins in a district, or keep a door open to enroll later. That is family logistics. It is not a promise of test scores, and it is not “better than public school.”
What it is not
Not “meets Indiana standards.” Not a claim of alignment to Indiana Academic Standards, Common Core, or any official list. The tag is not mastery tracking and not a Redbud SKU.

Approach tags are labels families put on a pod. They are not a Redbud SKU and not a catalog. Redbud is not a school. Indiana has no required homeschool curriculum list. The parent owns instruction — including the duty of equivalent instruction under IC 20-33-2-28.
