In a small parent-hired group
Short lessons. A living book read aloud, then narration (the child tells it back). A nature walk with notebooks. Copywork, a folk song, maybe handicraft. A few mornings with a hired adult who keeps lessons short. Still a parent-hired group, not a school timetable.
Why a parent might want this
A parent might want books that are actually written well, outdoor time, and kids telling back what they heard. That is a taste for a gentle week — not a claim of superiority over a district, and not an outcome stat.
What it is not
Not AmblesideOnline as a product we sell. If a family uses AO, that license is theirs — we only mention it as a link-out. Redbud does not write a Mason year.
Recommended reading for parents
We do not sell these. They are parent reading — books, archives, and official sites. Link-outs only. Redbud is not a bookstore and not a curriculum publisher.
Charlotte M. Mason
The original volumes. AmblesideOnline hosts a public text; we do not sell it.
Susan Schaeffer Macaulay
The modern parent introduction to Mason’s ideas.
AmblesideOnline
Volunteer CM curriculum. OER / link-out only. We do not sell AO.

Approach tags are labels families put on a pod. They are not a Redbud SKU and not a catalog. Redbud is not a school. Indiana has no required homeschool curriculum list. The parent owns instruction — including the duty of equivalent instruction under IC 20-33-2-28.
