Approach tag
Montessori
Mixed-age, child-led, prepared environment. Inspired-by, not AMI-certified.
Use this tag to find families who want this methodology.
In a small parent-hired group
Mixed ages in one room. Kids choose work from shelves, repeat it, put it back. The hired adult observes more than lectures. A morning might be independent work, a snack, outdoor time — still a parent-hired group in a living room or rented space, not a school campus.
Why a parent might want this
A parent might want a quieter, hands-on room if their kid concentrates better when they pick the next task. That is a preference about the week, not a claim that Montessori “works better,” and not a Redbud outcome study.
What it is not
This tag is not AMI certification, not a trained-guide badge, and not a materials catalog. Inspired-by is the honest word. Redbud does not certify Montessori guides or sell the shelves.
Recommended reading for parents
We do not sell these. They are parent reading — books, archives, and official sites. Link-outs only. Redbud is not a bookstore and not a curriculum publisher.

Official AMI site. Training and materials live there. We do not confer AMI status.
Wikipedia
History and practice overview — not a certificate.
Approach tags are labels families put on a pod. They are not a Redbud SKU and not a catalog. Redbud is not a school. Indiana has no required homeschool curriculum list. The parent owns instruction — including the duty of equivalent instruction under IC 20-33-2-28.
