Approach tag
Classical
Grammar, logic, rhetoric; great books and discussion. Not a publisher pack.
Use this tag to find families who want this methodology.
In a small parent-hired group
A small parent-hired group, a few mornings a week: copywork or recitation, a history or science reading, then talk. Older kids argue a passage. The hired adult is in the room for books and discussion — not to run a school operating system. Families still choose the titles.
Why a parent might want this
Some kids light up for old stories, languages, and being asked to explain themselves. A parent might want a week that is deliberately about books and talk. That is a preference about the room, not a claim that classical “beats” a public school, and not a score we can quote.
What it is not
It is not a publisher pack. Redbud does not ship a classical year, a reading list as a product, or a rhetoric course. The tag is a label the family writes on the pod.
Recommended reading for parents
We do not sell these. They are parent reading — books, archives, and official sites. Link-outs only. Redbud is not a bookstore and not a curriculum publisher.
Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise
A home-scale map of grammar, logic, and rhetoric years — not a Redbud pack.

The 1947 essay that popularized the trivium for modern readers.
Christopher A. Perrin
A short parent briefing on the classical revival. Publisher site; we do not sell it.
Wikipedia
History of the revival, not a program to buy.
Wikipedia
Grammar, logic, and rhetoric as the three arts — vocabulary, not a SKU.
Approach tags are labels families put on a pod. They are not a Redbud SKU and not a catalog. Redbud is not a school. Indiana has no required homeschool curriculum list. The parent owns instruction — including the duty of equivalent instruction under IC 20-33-2-28.
